The Adventures of Casey is based on a true story of a lost suitcase that ended up much more traveled than its owner. It takes the reader from West Virginia to an exciting, unplanned European adventure for Casey who gets lost at the beginning of the trip at the airport. Casey s owner is going to Italy but Casey lands in England. Many nice people try to help Casey get to the right destination but he has a series of very interesting stops along the way! Excellent book to read before a trip or take along on the airplane, Casey s adventures will create great conversation. Children love to decide what to pack in Casey for a long trip and will enjoy Casey s new friends he meets as he passes from airport to airport. Kincaid also illustrated the book and her delightful drawings will also be incorporated into a series of paper dolls, games, and classroom activities.
