San Francisco Book Festival Honorable Mention New York Book Festival Honorable Mention A different look at West Virginia wildlife. From the small and cuddly to the deadly predators, the students include fun and sometimes unknown facts about the state’s fauna. West Virginia has a rich history of mythical creatures that are also explored in the book! From the smallest insect and creatures that live in our creeks and rivers to the massive mammals that roam our forests, the students of Jackson Middle School have used their time and talents to create this book. It contains facts and drawings of some of our most interesting creatures in the words of student artists and fact finders. This is an exhibit of our students’ hard work and artistic talents. With the help of some dedicated teachers, the students were able to display their skills in a way that will provide funds for reward incentives and improvements at the school.
