Description Use as a primer before applying paint on previously unpainted surfaces, surfaces where you are switching from oil based to latex acrylic based paints and vice versa, or where you just need a fresh new surface to start with. Helps to prepare the surface to accept paint and blocks most stains including water, smoke, tannin, ink, pencil, felt marker, and grease. Also seals pet and smoke odors. Use on interior surfaces including drywall, wood, plaster, paneling, wallpaper, masonry, brick, painted metal and properly prepared glossy surfaces. Dries to the touch in 30 minutes at 77 degrees F and 50% humidity. Can recoat or topcoat after 1 hour. Coverage is approximately 300 sq ft per gallon for rough surfaces and 400 sq ft per gallon on smooth, non-porous surfaces. Refer to the product label for complete instructions. Aerosol version may vary in coverage area. For mildew prone surfaces and other specialty surfaces, consider using Kilz Premium or Kilz 2 or other Kilz products (sold separately). DO NOT use on flooring.
