Description Nutri King BMR is a medium early maturity dryland hybrid. Nutri King has consistent quality and yields for hay and grazing on dryland. It has a deep fibrous root system and a sweet juicy plant. The BMR characteristic ensures the cattle consume all the forage produced. With an added 5-10 days maturity over early hybrids, it oftens wins tonnage on dryland. Dry stalk gene improves dry down and harvest timing especially for hay harvest Multiple uses – can be grazed, made in silage or baleage, or cut for dry hay Approximately 40-60 days to 1st cutting Harvest at boot stage Requires less water than permanent pastures Summer annual plant Seeding Rate – 35-50 lbs/acre at a depth of inch deep. Requires a consistent soil temperature of 62 degrees F or higher at planting. Best to leave a stubble height of 8-10 inches when mowing for more consistent regrowth and multiple harvests.
