Description A common red clover that is of the earlier flowering type. Generally acts as a biennial legume. Used in mixtures with orchardgrass, tall fescue, timothy and other tall forage grasses. Grows best at a pH of 5.5 or higher. Can be seeded in the spring or fall or frost seeded. Requires phosphorus and potash for fertility based on soil test results and fixes its own nitrogen needs. High in magnesium so it can help in the fight against grass tetany. Rest stands in September and October for best results and persistence.Seeding Rate – 3 to 5 lbs for overseeding. Up to 8 lbs for new stands. Seed at a maximum depth of 1/4″.
