Zoom Into Books Author Give Them Over To Death is the second novel in the Pock Trilogy, black comedy about, Pock, a disfigured and crippled Alabama serial killer, an intellectual who loves Jesus, flowers, and Bulgarian opera. Pock kills in pursuit of a Gospel-fueled vengeance, becomes smitten with a 15-year-old-girl, Juels, a renowned super-athlete, who is stalked by an assassin for organized crime. Pock confronts the assassin to save Juels in a field of bamboo near the Tuscaloosa train station.
